Lectures

Special Lecture in International Natural Science XIII
(N/A in FY2023, Fall Semester, Monday 1st Period, VII-112 in FY2020)

Purpose of the Lecture

The objectives of this course are to develop scientific literacy with concepts of physics, and to study recent research topics in physics mostly based on materials science. The contents are at an introductory level, and non-majors in physics are encouraged to attend.

Outline of the Lecture

Several contemporary materials science-related issues (e.g. crystal growth of semiconductors and their analysis, superconductivity, advanced measurement technology, electrochemical technology, catalyst, theory in materials science, etc.) will be discussed by faculty from different disciplines in order to highlight cross-disciplinary perspectives on fundamental problems and potential solutions in materials sceince. Lectures will be presented at the regularly scheduled class time for all students. Students will meet each week with their primary faculty instructor.

Office Hours (Wednesday 1st Period, Fujiwara’s Office)

The office hours are an opportunity for you to ask questions about the lectures by Prof. A. Fujiwara. All questions are welcomed.
